Spiced Hot Chocolate for Adults
500 ml Milk
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
1 tbs Caster Sugar
Pinch of Salt
6 Cinnamon sticks
1/4 tsp Chili Powder or 1 Dried Red Chili
225 – 250 gr Chocolate Chips, dark
150 ml Tequila or Rum
Simmer all ingredients except the alcohol over a low heat. Whisk occasionally until fragrant. Discard cinnamon sticks and dried chili if using. Add tequila or rum and heat through. To add a frothy, foamy top to your hot chocolate, use a hand blender or a whisk and beat until foamy. Serve hot.
Hot Chocolate Float
4 servings of Hot Chocolate
4 scoops Ice Cream of your choice (We like Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream for a minty hot chocolate)
Place 1 scoop of ice cream per mug of hot chocolate. Pour hot chocolate into each mug, right over the scoops of ice cream. Top with garnish of your choice – whipped cream, fudge, nuts etc. Enjoy!
50 ml Whiskey
1 1/2 tsp Honey
1/2 Lime, juiced
50 ml Hot Water
Cinnamon stick and Cloves to garnish
Combine all ingredients and serve hot.
